A Beautiful Morning of Daffodil Planting in Cadman Plaza Park!
On Saturday, October 24th, the Cadman Park Conservancy hosted our Annual Daffodil Planting as part of New Yorkers for Parks’ 25th Anniversary of The Daffodil Project.
It was a gorgeous autumn morning, and Juneteenth Grove was filled with wonderful energy, enthusiasm, and community spirit! Our youngest volunteers, alongside their parents, grandparents and caregivers planted bulbs along the edges of our circular garden beds, while older student volunteers and adults worked in the rectangular planting areas in Juneteenth Grove. It was a joy to see so many people of all ages come together to help make our park even more beautiful. We had a wonderful time planting together.
🌻 Thank You, Volunteers!
A big thank you to Trader Joe’s for providing healthy snacks and Gristedesfor donating spring water. We’re grateful for your support!
💚 Thank you to our volunteers, The Service Collective, and the Girl Scouts for making our planting events a success.
🌼 Gardening Brings People Together! One of our volunteers even recruited a tourist visiting from Arizona, who was strolling through the park, to lend a hand with the digging—a wonderful example of community spirit!
Special thanks to NYC Parks Gardener Nathan Grozan; Conservancy Board Members Serhiy Mshanetskiy, Agnes Djaha, Laura and Tom Winner, Cheryl Moch, and Doreen Gallo; Giovanna Molina; and Theo Eo of The Service Collective for their time and dedication.
