Thank you!

Conservancy leadership had our annual walk-through Cadman Plaza Park and our adjacent parks with NYC Park Deputy Chief of Operations Jamey Hewitt this week. In 2022, when the Conservancy wanted to create a pollinator garden in Cadman, Jamey chose the perfect location in the northwest corner in the park. Our Conservancy high school intern, Rosemary Sanders proposed a compost area for leaves, grass garden debris.  Jamey chose the perfect site in Walt Whitman Park.

We are grateful for his incredible dedication, knowledge and guidance.
We’re looking forward to this opportunity to create our own compost, an important step toward one of the Conservancy's goals: creating greater connectivity between Cadman, Walt Whitman, Korean War Veterans Plaza, and Columbus Parks through native pollinator gardens
