Trees!

🌳 Exciting news! The Conservancy has planted 8 chestnut saplings in Walt Whitman Park, thanks to board members Cheryl Moch and Thomas Winner. Two were donated by Bart Chezar with Prospect Park & the American Chestnut Foundation, and six were cultivated by Tom himself.

NYC Parks helped select the sunny, protected site, and fencing will be installed to keep the young trees safe as they grow.
